Green Party of Virginia General Meeting

The Saturday Green Party of Virginia General Meeting is to build our state membership, increase awareness and understanding of our goals and activities, fund-raise, recruit ballot petitioners and other volunteers, and learn about issues of importance both in Virginia and nationally.

Jill Stein is the keynote speaker, and the agenda of the meeting will be built around her.

Also participating as speakers, generally briefly, will be the GPVA Co-chairs, past VA Green political candidates for local, state, and national office, the director of the state chapter of NORML, and (possibly) a Sierra Club member to speak on the Atlantic Coast Pipeline. (The pipeline is a project of Dominion Power Company, promoted by our Democrat Guv., McAuliffe, which will destroy thousands of acres of pristine public land, infringe on other land owner rights, and pipe fracked natural gas across our state from West Virginia to the coast for sale overseas. Fighting it is a top priority for Virginia Greens and other progressives.)

Food and beverages will be offered.

Parking is available in the nearby Water Street Parking Garage and Charlottesville Parking Center.
